The Temple of Sharess announces the start of the Week of the Kiss, and
many of the usual celebrations are eagerly awaited by the city's
Sharess devotees. All celebrants are invited to attend tonight's
Grand Mass, and are warned that the festivities are likely to continue
until daybreak.

The Elves of ElvenHaven are proud of a large oak tree which has
suddenly appeared within their Shadowtop groves. It seems to have
grown overnight and many claim the magic of Rillifane Ralathil, the
god of Wood Elves to be responsible. Others claim it is nothing but
an amateurish illusion.

An outbreak of fighting between rival Thieves' Guilds has been blamed
upon intrigues with the Vizier's government. Rumours of a great
treasure arriving in Calimport have been traced to agents of the
Ministry of the Interior. Some of the bodies discovered in alleys
over the last few days are reported to be these agents.

A fire in a derelict tenement building in the Ulgamar Drudache to the
east of the city seems to have unearthed a nest of hideous monsters.
Witnesses claim to have seen misshapen creatures struggling to escape
the conflagration. The city's fire-fighters are understandably wary
of approaching the ruins. The dreaded phrase "Night Parade" springs
to mind.

A spectral elf has been sighted near the world famous Heaven's Lathe
open-air restaurant. The apparition questioned passers-by briefly
before vanishing. The people questioned have no recollection of the
events.

A white dragon has been reported in the skies over the desert.
Experts have scoffed at the idea, claiming the climate in Calimshan
incompatible with creatures of this sort. We wonder if anybody has
told the dragon that.

Soothsayers in the Plaza of Divine Truth point to omens which claim
the end of the world will be upon us soon. Golemic Scribes would like
to draw your attention to similar statements made four months ago as
well as one year ago, six months previous to that, five months earlier
and many other occasions in the recent past. Perhaps the soothsayers
should consider changing the poultry farmers who supply them with the
raw materials for their auguries!

A large fire sank a ship in the Ship's Graveyard last night. No
survivors have been reported. Some say it was the Sea Crane mentioned
in yesterday's Golemic Scribes.
