Akordia was born to a minor noble house in Menzoberranzan, and, like so
many others of her race began training to the priesthood of Lloth. It was not long, however before she realised that she had no taste for the tenets of the spider goddess, and vowed to leave the city of her birth before completing her training.
She left the city, with the aid of her cousin Karsel'lyn, who had made the same choice in her own youth, at the tender age of twenty, and began what was to be a much longer journey through the underdark than she had anticipated.
Finally emerging to the surface she was caught and enslaved by a barbarian tribe, and had begun to believe that it was to be her fate to die in this place. Relief seemed to be at hand however, when a pair of adventurers freed her from her enslavement and slew her captors.
Freedom was not yet to be hers however, her rescuers turned out to be a pair of vampires who viewed her merely as a novel food source. Drained and weary, she resigned herself once again to a life of torment and pain chained to the stable wall at Stanzfeld Mansion.
Eventually, however, a small group of adventurers from Fallow's Cross came to her rescue and with the help of Drizzt Do'Urden and Alustriel eased her back to health and acquired for her a mask similar to Drizzt's own. Although the mask has since been lost, these images date from that time.
Akordia has sworn never to kill in her own defence, but only in the defence of others or when the tenets of her faith demand it.
She was, until recently, married to Tommy Atkins, a paladin of Torm, with whom she fell deeply in love at first sight. She can currently be found in the Promenade, where she is slowly recovering from her recent emotional rollercoaster ride.
Returning elated to the Promenade from the trip to the Abyss, in which she and a few very close friends finally succeeded in recovering the Sword of Eillistrae, she was thrown into a fit of depression on learning that her husband Tommy was dead.
Her pain was eased somewhat when she learned that the attempts she and Tommy had been making to conceive a child had been successful, but she is still a deeply unhappy woman, throwing herself wholeheartedly into the service of the church, burying herself in her work as she tries to come to terms with her loss.
