Captain Buregard Tillian (LN hm F5)
A 56 year old veteran and old friend of Baron Faldamoor. Decades in
the military have taken their toll on him and his ageing body is not as
hardy as it once was. He continues to drive himself hard even still, but
gets angry when his frailty lets him down, and takes it out on his troops.
He has an intense dislike of mages and magic, after an incident during the time of troubles when a troop he was leading were decimated by a miscast spell from the troop's mage. A section of his arm was horribly burned in the incident and still gives him a lot of trouble.
In the recent attack by Tanar'ri, he was blinded by a sword strike across his face. His sight cannot be restored by anything short of a Regenerate spell. is still the leader of the Militia, but others are making more of the decisions than before.

Attached to the Militia is a scout, Tanya (NG hf T5), a 17 year old girl who is the adopted daughter of the innkeeper, Tallyhoe Nimblethunbs. She was a back street thief when he found her, but brought her to New Haven along with Burgot, his adopted son (a half-orc, also in the militia). She refined her skills and has become a valuable member the militia as she is probably the person who knows the badlands the best. She and Corporal Rafael have been a 'item' for three years.
Stee is also an unofficial member of the Militia.
