Scattered around Stanzfeld Mansion are toilets, bathrooms and shower facilities. The water supply is fed from large water tanks in the attic, kept full by manual pumps. The water comes from two wells dug a little away from the house, concealed in the gardens, with pipe work carrying the water up to the tanks.
Waste disposal is via a cesspit linked to a nearby stream, of which Katie has complained that it is showing increasing signs of polution.
