A caravan to Memnon has been discovered by a desert patrol. It has
been decimated and looted. Desert Raiders have been blamed, but as
usual, nothing has been or seemingly can be done to halt the raids
and massacres carried out by the wild nomads.
Rumours are spreading of the sighting of nightmarish monsters seen
at night in the Dunes demarche in the northern outskirts of the
city. Some say they are "Night Parade" monsters. Mothers with
new-born children are said to be concerned about these rumours.
Several people have gone missing over the past few days. Some have
seemingly vanished off the street, while others have failed to turn
up in their usual haunts or at home. Dansig Al-Fareintz, the owner
of the Dansig Emporium, has offered a reward for news of the
whereabouts of his son Maliomer, who has not been seen by his
family for over twelve days.
Randsom and his gang have been terrorising the Gnomes. It is
believed he is now working for Parvel, but nobody will confirm or
deny it. He is known as a dangerous and unpredictable man. Many
say he has strange magical abilities, yet he is not known to have
had any formal training.
The Assassin "Nightshade" has accepted a new contract within the
past few days. Potion shops are fast running out of antidotes and
purgatives. There are many who will sleep badly until the
assassin's target has been dealt with.
It is believed that the Desert Raiders have discovered a powerful
artefact. Caliph Rashid Djenispool is interested in obtaining it -
if it exists - and so would several other fractions within
Calimport.
Haldeman has picked up a valuable cargo. It is under heavy guard on
a ship in the graveyard. No one is prepared to be any more
specific than that it seems at present.
The Vampires of Shadowland have been more active during the
afternoons lately. Three more drained bodies were found at the
foot of Gnomes Mines yesterday, one of which was a human.
Arbuthnot Clawhand, High Priest of Garl Glittergold said he is
hoping to have some success in a new venture to hunt down the evil
undead responsible.
